Northern Va. 3D Shoot
« on: September 08, 2009, 12:44:00 PM »
The Leesburg Izaak Walton League is having a 3D shoot on Saturday,  September 12th,  that’s open to the public.

Registration is from 9-2 and it cost $10 to play for the day.  You can run the course as many times as you want. (no prizes,  the $10 is for range up-keep)

It’s a nice 30 target course in the woods.  There’s also a  10-50 yard range to get good and warmed up.

The grill is going to be fired up so feel free to bring anything  you want to throw on the bar-b.

It would be great to meet some more Trad Gangers and do some shooting!

Please post if you can make it, and what time you’ll be there, so we can shoot as a group.

Just 1 shot per target and scores will be posted!

Sorry!

I'd hate for you to cancel your plans and the Leesburg shoot not get a big showing.  Hopefully some more people want to come.

(pssst.. I can have you there as a guest some other time too)

Yeah that would be the one. Wify all ready gave me her blessings so I may take you up on your other offer for a guest shoot another weekend. That club looks nice too and maybe worth it to join in the future.

Not a problem 3blades.  I go there a lot through out the week but Sundays are my favorite.  No Guns on Sunday so it's nice and quiet.

I thought this event would be a good time for some of us locals to meet up,  and maybe make it a regular thing.  But we can still do that even if this weekend doesn't work out.

Good Luck in Pa!

How's your following Sunday look?

Anytime Allen!  The sooner,  the better though.  We're about to turn our 30 target course into  15 for the cold season.

Let me know when you plan on being in the area.

Had a good time at both shoots but my shoulder is sore but a good sore. I did join killdeers club as the 3D course is great and in my backyard basically. Broomstick it was good to meet you at your club too and a nice track up there.

We should start a "Trade-A-Club".

I'd like to check out some other clubs and I love having people at mine.

Some people might not even have a club and it would be a good opportunity to check some out.

Now that I am a member at NORVA it would be nice to have a Trad event next year. But the only other trad archer member is Killdeer as far as I know.

I think it would be so cool to have a bunch of folks from the area out to shoot 3D. The course is there, all we need to do is set a date and go have fun!

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Lets do this as the early spring would be my pick for an event and careful not to have it at the same time as others in the area.

Samick Stingray  50#@28"
Hickory self bow 55#@28"
