ATAR 2009
« on: June 05, 2009, 10:15:00 PM »
Are ya go'n?

Every plan I've made to do anything this year has fallen through.
Planned on going to the Baltimore Classic...NOPE
Planned on motorcycle ride to N. Carolina with my brother...NOPE

I've taken leave for July 10 & 11, maybe 12 to go to ATAR.  I hope the third time is a charm.  Hope to see you there.

This will be my first ATAR.  Does anyone ever get turned away from overflow camping?  I plan on being there either Thursday evening(doubtful) or Friday late morning or early afternoon.  Will that be a problem to find a site to set up camp?

Usually it isn't any problem. We(Cool Springs Gang)always camp in the overflow,we also call ahead a month or so in advance just in case.If you get a answer from them saying you go to the overflow till the tent are filled, just ask to speak to asupervisor and will get you a spot. They tried that with my bud Nook when he called.
This place you won't be disappointed, fun time had by all and good people to boot..

You'll be back, once you've seen the elephant, David.

I'll be in overflow this year.   :(   I didn't get around to calling as early as last year and I lost my map that had all the good spots marked. LOL  I think my wife is coming so I may get to shoot my bow this time.

I will be there starting a full day before the shoot just to get my act together and enjoy the lake some.
