Hello! I'm brand new to this forum (this is my first post), however, I've been shooting traditional (mainly recurves) since 1965. I just printed out the application to Traditional Bowhunters of Virginia, and will be joining. I live in Mathews county. Any of you folks live near the middle peninsula? 'Twould be nice to meet someone to shoot with! Don't know any other traditional shooters in the county. Hope to hear from some of you, and look forward to chatting with you folks!

Thanks for the response, guys! Where do I find the dixie bowmen, and the details for the Trad Rendezvous? Sounds interesting. Do I need to bring anything?

Burley,

I'm over here in Hartfield.  If you wish, grab your bow and come on over to the house.  I have a personal range set up on the property.

Thanks for the welcome, 2hats. I'll certainly try to keep my guard up around the Cool Springs gang (whoever the heck they are). I'll need your help identifying them. Do they steal arrows? I'll be looking for A.S. when I get there, so chances are good I'll find you. too. Should I hang out with A. S. too? Would it be good for my image?

Creekbow, don't let them kid you....I'm the clean cut, mild tempered, easy going one of the bunch! I'm lucky to have such a great group of shooting buds.

I'm all packed up, ready to hitch up to the "Mighty Duck" tomorrow after work and head out.

See you there,

Allen

2hats and A.S., I'm really looking forward to meeting you guys...you've obviously got a good sense of humor. I'll be arriving at around 9:00, I'll be driving a red Colorado pickup with a red camper shell. This will be my first 3D shoot.. I hope you'll have mercy on a rookie who is no crack shot.
