Just want to say Hello. To all the VA archers out there. Any one close to lake Gaston area. I would like to shoot with someone sometime. Not too many traditional bow hunters around here.

Welcome to the Va Forum. I don't know about the Gaston Area.  Maybe someone will chime in.

I would love to come out to a 3-d shoot. About 20 yrs ago I shot in 3-d shoots as a youth with my dad with compounds. I would really enjoy shooting my recurve at a shoot. I am only confident at about 15 to 20 yrds after that it better be a moose 3-d. Or I will out of luck. It would be lots of fun. Do they have a pewe class for my daughter she is 5. I am going to be getting her a long bow soon. She really enjoyes shooting her First shot bear bow.  Thanks

Most shoots with competition have divisions for cubs. If they don't, she oughta shoot anyway. That is what it's all about!

Where the heck is Gaston?

Welcome.  I have family in Brunswick Co. but none of them shoot traditional so  I don't know of any shops that way.  The ATAR shoot in WV has some great stuff just for kids each year.  You should plan on attending.  Check out threads about past shoots over in the Trad Events forum.
