1st I would like to know the minimal bow poundage for hunting in Virginia.
2nd Any one know where I can find a long bow that my son can use and still hunt with lb. wise. He has a 25” draw at the moment.
He is 14 and growing. (O ya Cheap    :bigsmyl: )

This is what is in the VDGIF Game laws...

Broadhead widths must be at least 7/8-inch wide or expand upon impact to 7/8-inch.

Bows must be capable of propelling a broadhead arrow at least 125 yards.

I wouldnt hunt with a bow no less than 40lbs for deer and that would be with a well tuned arrow and under 20 yard shots.

I will keep an eye out for a bow for your son.  Check the classifieds here often there may be one there.
