Still ruttin in VA?

From talking to some guys at work who have been rifle hunting it seems all the deer are moving more at night. Deer sightings are way down. It dont take them long to figure out they are being hunted.

Yes Sir... The beagles must be in full rut.  Had serveral of them chasing does last Sat.    :knothead:

But.... I'm still after them...

I had a 1 1/2 year old buck yesterday chasing some young does around. It's about time for some 2nd rut activity to begin. One of my fave times of the year for seeing the big ones!!!!

I've seen a bunch of fresh scrapes over the past week or so.  On Sunday I decided to pull a stand that was about 200 yards from my house.  After I pulled it, I found a fresh scrape 25 yards from the stand!  I didn't bother re-hanging the stand.  There was/is definitely a flurry of rutting activity.  Hope it keeps up until Jan. 1, the last day I'll be able to hunt this
