Dave, I'm pretty particular about my photos....you only get one chance to do them. She was getting pretty stiff by the time I got her home and took the pics.

My deer was about 7 yards, slightly quartering. I was trying to wait till she turned, but had several deer under my stand and she was about to bust me. You can see the entry hole, exit was low and back a bit. Just got one liung and liver with the slightly quartering to shot. She went maybe 150 yards. Best part....she piled up 40 yards from my truck!!! I like to train them right during the off season...LOL

Good luck everybody and say safe!

Allen, bravo!  Knowing your getting on in age... I assume you used your ATV to pull her out.  Right?  It sounds like and apparently it was a great day.

I'm  hoping to get out there again next week sometime.  Maybe, if all is right, I can get some photos up too.  In the meantime, I'm trying to finish up my new barn (utility barn I should say... no live stock) before it gets chilly.

Allen, I've got a Summit Viper tree stand.  With my old age... I fall asleep soooooooo easily in that stand.  So, if a deer walks up on my right side (I have 80% loss of hearing in the right ear), and I'm snoring... well, he or she gets a free ride.  So, those are my excuses and I'm stickin to 'em.

P.S.  I'm just waiting for the old, old doe with worse hearing than mine to walk by.  Then, I might have a chance.  :)
