Ya'll Ready? Now with Pics...
« on: September 20, 2008, 10:04:00 PM »
Two weeks til the opener, not that I'm anxious or anything. Blacktail 58#@29, GT 55/75-100 gr. inserts with magnus 150 4 blade or Zwickey Deltas. Am trying a blind in one location and plan on doing some ground pounding this year as well as lofty aspirations.
Just wanted to wish all a great season-stay safe.

Good luck to you guys. I have been putting up tree stands, building ground blinds, and got my gillie suit ready to go. I planted a foodplot this year and things are really looking good. I will be using a Great Northern Fireball 52#@28" and larch arrows tipped with a 145 gr. Eclipse broadheads. I have a couple of spots in a county that has a early doe season hopefully I will be able to get out this week.

A week and a half to go...  Three stands up.  White oaks going crazy.  Persimmons all over the place.  Lone wolf climber all lubed up.  Everything washed and ready.  Woodsmans stropped and attached to Gold tip 55-75's (30.5",530gr.)  New batteries in all the flashlights.  The Blacktail is fine tuned. (57 @29, 62")  Almost time....

Doc...... No sheepeater????

Jack, I'll have your collecter card for luck in my Catquiver...  :D

To Everyone... Have a great and safe season.

Good luck to everyone.  I have several stands up, now I just need time to hunt them.  Lots of deer moving around the club and some nice bucks seen.

BigRon, you know bowhunting is a priority for me, but I'm getting married Saturday and leaving for the Smoky mountains Sunday for the Honeymoon, so... it looks like I will miss opening day

If that's not bad enough, I have to leave on travel for two weeks as soon as I get back home....so Rough Mountain could actually be the first hunt of the season for me   :banghead:

Whenever I get out there I will be shooting my 52# @ 28 Silvertip with 4 fletched GT 35/55s and 175 gr. Razorcaps or 170 gr. STOS broadheads.

Hope to see some of you at the RM hunt.

Well let's see....I guess I'll hunt with my Morrison Cheyenne 50@27, CX Thunderstorm Se's with Woodsmans. Seems like the hail storm we got a couple months ago pretty much wiped out the acorns in my patch of woods. Oh well, they will find something to eat!

Good luck everybody!

Tom, sorry we didn't make the BOR shoot. We'll do better, I promise!

Bill really doesn't need a tree stand. He just stands upright and shoots down at the deer!!!    :biglaugh:
