A trad bow hunt we hold every Oct at Lake Ouachita. Here are 2 slide shows that I can find.  There is a 3rd but I have not found it yet.

We stay at a Corp of Engineer campground and hunt the National forest surrounding us.

2nd weekend of Oct.  Be happy to have you.

Looks like you wouldn't have too far to travel.

I would show up, but I'll be scouting. Just a little to far from me.
Odds are with the prepared..

yall prob already know this, but around most pockets on the lake, right up at the head of them, there are tons of persimmon trees. my theory is that the coons have ate and crapped and ate and crapped enough around those places that they really populated those places with persimmons. when the lake is down low and there is nice green grass in the heads of pockets, there are always deer feeding on the new grass. kinda like when they plant grass on new road work. lol. there are virtually no fields around the lake so the most green grass is when the water is low.

also, the heads of the pockets, especially a deep one, is a good funnel location. it is a pinch point. deer will swim, but most of the time they will walk around the end of the water.
