Archery golf anyone?
« on: April 18, 2014, 05:28:00 AM »
Karen and I will be joining George Henrich and his buddy Hinty the weekend of May 3,4 for archery golf. This has been the weekend for bowjam in the past but that is 2 weeks later now. We will be camping there for the weekend at the North Fond Du Lac archery club. This is an open event so we will make up the traditional group. Come on out and join us. Sorry Greg. .  anything that has the word "golf" in it doesn't like me.

Karen and I just got in from the archery golf weekend. I have to say it was a blast. I have always enjoyed archery and although I am not much for keeping score anymore I was totally into it this weekend. This was a different aspect of archery that in the end really taught you about your equipment and actually your lack of skill to make the ever varying shots. I will be back and will be looking into reserving the grounds for the WTA for a weekend in 2015. I think this would make a good event for the WTA. They have a nice camping area with electric hook ups and lots of room and shade.

For Father's day weekend my whole family camped out and shot archery golf. Greg's right! it is a blast.

My oldest daughter took a bunch of pictures while my grandson, the two son-inlaws and I shot the back 9 holes.

I'll get some pics posted when she sends them. The best part is that both of my son in-laws had only ever shot bows at camp or school when younger. They shot really good and even beat me on some of the holes......that doesn't take much!

They all want to know when we are going again! soon I hope.

I am not surprised everyone had a good time in spite of their lack of archery experience. I bet you will like it too Chuck. I am still working on a date but should have that done soon.
