Terry
The bow set a new national record with Steve Gardner shooting her, if I remember right it launched a 300 grain arrow 332 yards. He now owns the bow  :) .

Mickey.... It might be getting that cold at night by the time you guys come out.... Then again we might be hunting in 70 degree weather...    :D

Thanks Jim I appreciate the kind words.....You guys keep me fired up to get the next bow done...
           :D

Terry Yep the Jawge finish......I did a little test on a scrap piece of wood and found the Rustoleum clear coat to be totally compatible with the Massey finish....I got the hardness of the Massey but I can hit the topcoat with steel wool to take some of the shine off for hunting.. BTW shouldn't you be out chasin Blacktails....This last weekend was prime time in my old spot...    :D

Wolfy.... You have an open invitation any time... I'm playing in a Blues band now so my schedule is a little tighter, but just call ahead of time and we'll put something together..This lil bow shoots those arrows you gave me perfectly.... I think I'll be shooting them on the Javie hunt....If I can find some Blue fletching for em.....  :D

Dutchman..... This bow did take a long time....It's actually the one I was building along side the auction bow as a backup.....the auction bow turned out so good I took this one, which was gonna be a straight limbed bow.... flipped the tips....tillered her to 65#@26" sinew backed her... waited 1 month...... added the rawhide...... waited another month and got her almost tillered just before Elk season....Than picked up the ball and finished her off......Terry

Terry...Beautiful bow!  You have out done yourself again.  Tiller looks great and the finish and artwork are fantastic.  Absolutely gorgeous!

I think the mystery wood is Ebony Macassar.  Just some end scraps picked up at the wood store.
