That's great!!  Cool hunt, equipment and a very nice bull.  Going to have to change that name from Raghorn to 6 point.

If I had taken the Elk my head would be so big I would have to wear a wash pot for a hat. :)  You have a right to brag, Way to go friend.
 Take care all.

Thank you folks for all the great words. He's not the biggest bull in Colorado, but he's mine! It was it a thrill to take this fine animal,as the hunt was right off the screen of the top hunting videos. I have only one regret.....that I didn't have the video camera.
This moment was made even better by haveing a good friend of many years standing right behind me and watching over my left shoulder and able to see the arrow's flight.Even though  we have been friends for a long time this was the first hunt we managed to put together.
Thank you my cohorts of this ancient sport for you thoughts, they mean a lot to me.

Congrats, Ron...that is one pretty bull! You know, some folks that haven't hunted elk might question why any of us would spend 23 years chasin' the dream..those of us who elk hunt know why ...its not the destination, its the journey!

Are those tenderloins going to be tasty! And that head will hang on your wall - every time you look at it you will smell the air, the elk, hear the wind in the pines, or aspens, and you can close your eyes and see the hunt just like it happened yesterday... you won't remember all the toil and sweat that went into it..only the immense pleasure of the chase.

Nice one- way to go!
