Can't help it, got to brag a bit!
« on: October 11, 2003, 10:16:00 PM »
After 23 years of chasing elk.....I finally got one! Second bull that day that I called in.
This is  from Colorado, last week of the season.
The only camo was my favorite (lucky?) Day-One hat, and the cover on my binos.
I used a 1962 Bear Kodiak 60#, a 1960 Bear Razorhead, 1962 Bear 4 arrow quiver, and 1960 era vintage swadged 2018 arrows.

My congrats, Ron. I talked to a friend who had chased elk w/ his compound last month for the first time. He didn't get one, and although he said they had a great time, he said that the next time he would have a rifle. Need I say more? I admire your persistance!    dave

That's one nice bull. You have every reason to brag - and I hope you're shouting it from the rooftops! Congratulations! And I gotta say, I admire your persistance and dedication. After the first one they say it gets easier. Hope you get another one real soon.

That elk I'm sure will a have flavor you'll never forget.  :)
