Just got a Busnell GPS
« on: September 18, 2011, 05:43:00 PM »
Just bought one of their little 3 point GPS units cause I wanted something simple to.  Not sure that it was worth the $70.  Very slow response time, maybe the batteries are old or something but the compass just seemed to spin.  May try messing with it some more.

I believe you are referring to a Bushnell Backtrack.  I have had two of them and find them to be exceptionally useful.  Very simple to use and just about foolproof.  Granted my Etrex 30 does a lot more but the Backtrack does exactly what it is intended to do and you don't have to have a PhD in physics to use one.

I bought mine at either Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop.  Now, they are one in the same.  If I can operate one...anyone can.

I have two of the backtracks. Mine have always worked great. Very user friendly.
