Leather Back Quivers and Arm Guards
« on: January 12, 2007, 10:33:00 PM »
While lQQking for something different in an arm guard and back quiver for me and my sons for Christmas, I ran into this guy Carl Wade who is a leather and knifesmith in Ca.
His work is very nice and prices are very reasonable considering the detail in much of his work so I thought I would give him a plug here.
I have recently gotten a new back quiver which is only about an inch or so in thickness. The arrows really lay nicely, a few arm guards and string keepers. He has a fast turn around and listens to your input, much like a tatto artist.
Some of my arms guards are pictures 4,5 & 7 where he made a custom deer carved guard for my 8 year old son. Man was he excited opening it up on Christmas Day.
Also my quiver pictures 6,8 & 9. The arm guard matches with the dragon scales and ascham arrows.
I also got matching string keepers like picture 158 stained to match with initials.
Pictures 15 thru 19 show more deatil of how thin my quiver is.
Give him a shot, you won't be diappointed.

Tell'em Jim Pierce told ya to call.

Check out his website.

The guards and quivers are very reasonably priced.
Even a cheapo like me has got them.
