custom wooden arrows

Can anyone out there give me information on buying some POC (port orford cedar) footed shafts for a 68# longbow @ 28" draw lenght?
  SEND PHOTOS, PLEASE!!!!!

SC, The first question would be "What is your draw length?"  If you are shooting a 28" arrow out of a 68# longbow and you are using a 125 grain point, using a Dacron string then 65-70# spine should work.  Of course, this depends on bow design and can be influenced by release.  But as a rule of thumb subtract 5# for every inch of arrow under 28" and add 5# for every inch over.

Ok, my mistake.  I now see that your draw length is 28".  Must have been a brain lapse when I read your post the first time.

There are several places that make footed shasfts but I would start by calling Rusty's Feet, The Footed Shaft, or Scott Mitchell of Timberhawk Bows.  Rusty has more footed shafts than anybody.  Scott has a friend who makes them for him.  I am not sure what Lamont Granger of The Footed shaft does, but I believe he still carries them.  All of these guys advertise in TBM.  Larry

  I thank you for the information. I have already found and contacted Rusty. Rusty provided me with some great information and I will probably get some of his arrows>
