Gold tip Trads VS . Carbon Express Heritage
« on: February 03, 2004, 08:06:00 PM »
I know there is another post about the GT trads and the problems with the finish.. BUT this is about the New Carbon Express Heritage series (woodgrain) shafts.. Had the chance to talk to the CE rep this weekend in Ft Worth.  The woodgrain finish is embedded in the shaft during the manufacturing process. He let me take a pocket knife and TRY to rib the pattern off.. I was scratching the shaft and taking material off and never damaged the wood grain pattern on it.
Talk about one tough finish.. Very much unlike the GT finish.  SOOOO in looking for a carbon shaft with a woodgrain finish thats tough and consistent in spine groups this is the one to look at seriously..
