A little bushcrafter
« on: March 11, 2019, 11:19:35 PM »
This one is my Woodlore model. This particular one is AEBL steel with some stabilized maple over olive G10 liners. It has all brass hardware and a simple pouch sheath that I made as well. It slices like crazy.

Thanks. That chunk of maple turned out pretty nice. It’s a very unique piece for sure. I like finding woods like that which are highly figured.

very nice knife, ruler for scale would be fine

9" overall length, just over 4" cutting edge
1 1/4" blade height
The handles are just over 1" thick at the thickest part of the palm swell and butt
The concave contouring for the ulnar eminence and the taper on the handle fronts are right at 3/4" thick.
All sharp edges are rounded to reduce hot spots.
The handle fronts are chamfered to reduce friction when sheathing/drawing the knife and to take the hard edge of the handle fronts back to protect it from damage when doing carving/battoning/split wood fires.
