Knife with my Boys
« on: May 16, 2018, 07:04:23 PM »
This year Lil Thad and I will be getting some help from Trapper (Lil Bro) forging and finishing our St. Judes knife!
This knife will be a bit bigger than the usual hunter we make for the auction.
This will be more of a camp chopper, designed for clearing brush, cutting tinder to firewood, or entire forests if you would like!
It will be forged out of 12" of 1/4" 80crv High Carbon steel.
The handle will be leather with a hemp wrap and sealed with West System Epoxy.
We have been working on this blade for a few days now and Im really liking how it is turning out!
I will post more pictures when the Auction starts!

These will be the clowns making your knife.

lil Thad had the chore of doing his first forged finger guard on this knife. His patience and accuracy sure paid off because it really turned out great!

So this handle is leather under a hemp wrap.
To make sure we get a nice transition from the handle to the finger guard it requires us to remove a little material.
