Anyone in or close to dutchess county
« on: March 29, 2016, 11:02:00 PM »
I live in dutchess county ny. To me we call this upstate lol but I know it's far from upstate ny.
Anybody from around or close to this area.

I am very new and anyone with experiance that's willing to help out would be awsome. Or even in the same experiance level and wants to help learn together.

Loving the site so far and everyone seems very helpful and sincere

Hey DAC86, I'm in Westchester County. Not too far away. There's a few other guys on here up you way way.

Are there any ranges open to the public up in you area that you have been to? There's one down here, Blue Mountian Sportsman. Are there any other areas that you have access to to shoot?

Let me know maybe we can get together. I've been shooting trad for about 7 years now. Been shooting a bow for 40. Would be happy to help you get started.

Awsome. I know of blue mountain. I work in westchester doing hvac and blue mountain is about 5 minutes from my shop.
I know of flying arrow sports, one in carmel and one by me in wappingers. Never been though as I am new to this and still working on getting carbon arrows and tuning. Use wood arrows now but just whent off a spine chart so they are not tuned so shoot to mostly work on form.
There's alot to learn I see.
So yeah blue mountain I've heard is awsome I planned on shooting my rifle there just havnt gotten a chance to go. Did not know they had an archery range that's great

I'm not too far from you, I'm in Putnam County. I don't know of any public ranges here, but I do belong to Putnam County Fish & Game which has a 3D course. If you ever want to shoot it let me know.
Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

There is a pro shop in Red Hook called Northern Dutchess Archery.  Not sure if there is a range, but I'm sure the owner would know of one in the area.
