Saturday Jan. 28th Traditional Archers of Oregon Annual Banquet
« on: January 23, 2012, 10:57:00 PM »
This is most likely late if you want to attend the banquet dinner (the deadline was on the 20th), but you can attend for the day.  This blurb was copied from the  TAO website, concerning attendance for just the day.

"All traditional archers, TAO members and non-members are welcome! Plan on attending.
There will be raffles and drawings for archery and hunting related equipment.
$5 entrance to seminars and displays unless attending the banquet."

Looking like the weather will be cooperative for the drive over, if not cold.  Icy maybe, but looks like no snow.  It will be an interesting road trip!

Man, I would have loved to go.  Ron and Dave:  Take lots of pictures!

Dave, you need to tell the story of your avatar buck!   :campfire:

My bull was called in textbook style.  Buddy called it by me at 60 yards, I turned it and brought him straight to me at 20.  My buddy turned him broadside to me.  Head behind fir, I drew, he received a 2314.  Ran 40 yards and dropped.    :archer:

No pictures, but it was a great banquet.  TACO did a fantastic job.  The food was good, and they had a Bluegrass band called The Pitchfork Rebellion that was great.  The did a really great job with the prize raffle, that made it not drag on and on and on.....  I really appreciated that, as we had to drive back over the mountain that night.  Lots of ideas for next year when TAB hosts the winter banquet in Eugene.
