Been shooting a samick journey at 30 lbs but think I'm gonna pick up a longbow this week.  Don't think I'm proficient enough to hunt with it so I'll probably dust off the training wheels this November unless my accuracy gets better

well first off hello next is in alberta min bow weight of 40lbs is min to hunt with buy that long bow @ 45 lbs to start and use 2 blade heads good luck

welcome to traditional hunting....
 from your list of bows I would use the bear Montana longbow......and as your strength gets better...go to the 55 lb bow.....

in my opinion longbows are more forgiving

....recurves shoot harder and flatter in general....but some longbow designs rival recurves
