Good luck everyone.

Hunt hard and be safe.

May your bloodtrails be short, wide, and bright crimson red!

Got that phone call last night.
"Papa, I shot a deer and it only went 40 yards and dropped."

That is how my 11 year old grandson started the conversation.  He was so excited telling me about last nights hunt and I am as proud a grandpa as I can be. His name is Jeb and he has worked real hard practicing all summer and fall and shooting before he goes out.  He even removed himself from the field because he felt he wasn't shooting good enough.  Now that is an eleven year old hunter acting like a seasoned hunter.  Knowing when to take that much needed break.

I hope that he writes an article for the Traditional Trails magazine.

Jon,
That is great. I can't wait until I get to say the same about my Grandson!   :clapper:
And they shall see teal... sheldrakes, whistlers, and black ducks, ospreys, and many other wild and noble sights before night, such as they who sit in parlors never dream of. Thoreau.

That is awesome Jon! I know exactly how you feel, actually I get more excited about my grandkids getting a deer than when I do
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
