I've been lurking around for a little while and decided I should go ahead and post.  I'm a father of four just getting started in trad archery.  Just got a youth recurve for my 8 year old daughter and will be purchasing a recurve for my 6 year old son next month for his birthday.  Both are enjoying it so far.  It's just nice to have some activities to do with them that doesn't involve electronic devices.

I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon the Olde Farts group that shoots over in Cumberland county.  Even more surprised to see a couple familiar faces in their photo gallery.  I've got my longbow on order and it should arrive sometime in March then the kids and I will come out and visit with them during one of their shoots.  Hopefully some of those guys can show me the ropes!

Thanks for letting me ramble folks.  I'm enjoying reading the forums.

It will be good to have you come join us for some traditional fun.  We usually have a good showing with the young'uns, so they will have some others to feel comfortable with.  And don't let the old part of our name throw you off, we are a widely mixed group.  Being young at heart and enjoying watching arrows fly is what we are all about.
