I guess I overlooked this forum on previous visits to this website. I think it's great attempting to get fellow trad. archers together. I live in SW Va. and don't know of any traditional clubs in this area. I envy those fellow arrow flingers up near Ft. Lee and the eastern part of the state. It seems they have a lot of trad. shoots going on. I will be going to Nancy, Ky. on the first weekend of April for the Ky. Klassic traditional shoot. I went there about 11 years ago and haven't been back. I am looking forward to it. Anybody else in Va. planning on attending that shoot? We do have Bear Creek Archery Club in Norton, Va. that puts on shoots about once a month but that included the guys that shoots with wheelie bows. I would really like to get with fellow stickbow shooters around this area and shoot. Just drop me a message. Thanks, Paul

Greetings, all.  I'm new to this but have wanted to get a traditional set-up for some time.  Hope to learn what I can here over time so I can make a smart bow purchase.  Thanks, Dave Stein, for pointing me in the right direction.

Luke

We just moved back to Waynesboro after five and a half years in Maine. I really missed living in the Valley and look forward to shooting with some new folks.

Welcome back to VA Kevin.
Several of us from the Charlottesville area will be going to the Appalachian Traditional Archery Rendezvous near Beckley WV July 9-11.  If you can make it, it's worth the trip. The Cool Springs Gang will be there.  We also go to the Dixie Bowmen's shoot near Hopewell, VA most months.
Hope to see you at one of these events.

ATAR is out this year. I'm taking the family to Alaska for 10 days, now that the girls are big enough to enjoy it. Hopewell sounds good. Maybe next year for ATAR, plus I'd like to get down to the Howard Hill shoot in the next couple of years.

Good morning all! I shot recurve for a bit back in the late 90s moved to compounds and about 7 months ago here I am  back to recurve and happy.  I still enjoy my wheel bows. I am located in the Fredericksburg, VA area, looking for a Trad group to shoot with and gain some much needed coaching.  So if you know of a group please let me know. Thanks for allowing me aboard!

Is Traditonal Bowhunters of Virginia still an active organization?  I checked website and last update is 2016.

Very interested if it is and appreciate any current information.
