Hunting Help in North Dlorida
« on: August 19, 2014, 10:56:00 PM »
So I normally hunt down south of Orlando and I'd like to find a place a little farther north like close to Gainsville where I can camp Friday and hunt Saturday. I'm looking for something that might be a little cooler and less swampy than the places I hunt down south. Any advice?

Ocala WMA has produced some nice game in the past few years. I've only seen the pics and haven't hunted there personally. No quota during the archery season.

Yeh, I've been there once last year, but it's a big place and I don't know the lay of the land. I'll certainly try it out. I saw deer there last year, but none close enough to take a shot. There were tracks all over the trail I used too.
