Holiday season trip?
« on: November 02, 2012, 02:01:00 PM »
Hello all. Just throwing out feelers to see who would be interested in a hunt around the holidays? I would be glad to do Lake Ouchita again, but would be up for somewhere else if anyone is so inclined. Deer, pigs, small game... I'm interested.

If it fits my schedule. I work every other weekend and have my kids the other weekend. I would love to go.

Great.  And if folks want to see some country other than Crystal Springs, there's plenty of good public land up here in NWA too.  I might could get a few of us on private land too, depending on group size.

I would be interested if you get something together in NWA.

What about Gulf Mt? They have done a great job with the food plots this year. Been seeing plenty of deer.

I might be able to go.  Just got back from a TG hunt in Ohio and man am I ever glad to be back in Arkansas.  I hunted 7 days on public land in Ohio and saw exactly 1 deer.  A very exspensive decission on my part.  A 10 point was killed by one of our group so there was some sucess.  Not sure how they have done since I left.

Madison-Maclrory will be open after the Christmad gun season closes. It's permit only during that. Got a lot of camping sites around. Naturally, deer will be skittish, but that will be true all over. What about something like the Buffalo Wilderness Area? Around Ponca maybe? Pretty, wild country. More remote too.
