I am taking my travel trailer today & heading to my lease near Guirdon for a couple of days.  If anyone wants to join Chowsee & me, give me a call @ 901 619-8377.  I'm heading out of Benton by noon.

Hogs are going crazy & I got a 10-point on my game camera recently.  Chowder is begging for a blood track to follow!

I have only been able to kill one doe. I let one basket rack 8 walk I am kinda kicking myself for that one. He just needed a couple more years. I told myself I would much rather kill a mature doe, but I have not been able to get a grown deer of any kind to get close enough since.

One doe so far this year.  Think I might pack up the camper and head to either Henry Gray or Gulf Mt for a couple of days next week ( 26-? Nov)  Anyone like to go?

Got another doe this morning.  Pretty nice one this time.  ERC selfbow again.  Three with it this season; fifth with it over the past two.  That's my last tag for Zone One, so I'll be traveling to hunt for the rest of the season.

Sweeney is Clinton AR somewhat close for you.  I know laterally it is not bad but I don't know if there are any easy routes running west-east without having to go out of the way to get there.

Clinton isn't too bad.  I'd guess three hours or a little under.  Over to Harrison then south.  Or south to I-40, over, then back up.  You thinking of getting together a hunt over there?  What areas are near there, other than the 120 trillion acres of OSFNF?     :D

I hunt Gulf Mt just south of Clinton.  Have not been there yet this year but I will before hunting season is over.  Bow only now that the permit hunts are finished.

Been hunting Cypress bayou wma 4 miles from the house and have seen 1 buck and 2 does in the last two days.

No shot yet but thought I was going to get a doe this evening. I was sitting on my "torge" seat and wearing my ghillie.  Heard one coming and a nice doe got within 25 yards but the doe behind her busted me when the wind shifted.  Close but no cigar.

my little deer I got at ARROW is just about gone.  Need to get another real soon.

I would be real interested in a Gulf Mountain area hunt over the holidaze (yes, the "daze" spelling is intentional) if you and/or anyone else are interested.  I'm out of tags for Zone One but can get two more elsewhere in the state, so I'd be up for it.  Spent today fixing up some new broadhead shafts since I've been busting them all up lately.  Figure I can get another one or two and maybe a pig someplace?

I got another doe last week. I missed a big 8 two hours earlier. I have let many go trying to hold ou for a nice buck. I have passed three small legal bucks.

I have hunted Gulf Mountain for turkeys but never for deer.

Just got done putting doe # 4 on ice. I have had a good season so far but can't seem to close the deal on a nice buck. I have let a couple young ones go due to the management plans for my lease and missed the big eight. But I am very happy to put doe meat in the freezer. My family eats a lot of deer and I don't want to run out like last year.
