Thank You WTA board & volunteers
« on: February 16, 2014, 04:36:00 PM »
Hey, just wanted to thank all those involved in making this years banquet a great outing. I and my wife enjoyed meeting and conversing with friends, old and new. Monte Browning as a guest speaker for the banquet was a good choice. Those that didn't go, missed out. It was a great little break from our current run of cabin fever.

Tomorrow, back to reality ; work AND MORE SNOW!
If man were to know everything in advance, there would be no such thing as adventure!

I am glad everyone had a good time. There certainly many people to thank for making the banquet what it is and i am just as thankful for their help. Bruce does an awesome job bringing them all together. Make sure to talk it up, we have plenty of room for more members and vendors. Don Thomas will be our speaker next year and he is always worth the effort to see.

Ron, the mittens went to Iowa with Brian Stallman. His wife had the quilt booth. They had a good time and said they would be back.

Thank you to everyone that helped and came out to support the WTA!!!

Great to see everybody. Everybody again worked so hard to put on a quality event. Our directors and banquet committee along with member volunteers really stepped up and I believe the event really succeeded in providing entertainment and education for the entire family. I think the kids had fun and there were more prizes for women and youth than we had done in the past but we also tried to provide higher quality prizes for everyone. Now I'm sure that will have an impact on our overall bottom line but then this is meant to be the primary event to spend the money that the membership provides us and we spend it on them. We are intending on going back to the Marriott because they have not only improved each year but bend over backwards to work with us and give us their best facilities. I've been with them in the kitchen as they are preparing to serve us and the pep talk by their staff manager to their serve staff to perform well is unique and they responded well. Thanks to all that donated or reduced their prices and all of you that spent your hard earned money to keep this organization that we care for so much moving ahead.

It was my first time and unfortunately I couldn't stay for the banquet, but it have to say I was impressed.  It was refreshing to talk to people that appreciate trad archery.  Vendors were great, Monty was great and the prizes... Geez, there was a lot - a lot of stuff.  Thanks to all who put forth the effort, I will definitely see you again next time.
