Anybody have any last minute contacts.. guys that will run a bobcat ?  I have a tag that only goes to 25 Dec.  Not very long to go.  Haven't had much time to pursue this this fall.

I had a tag a few years ago Chuck, but like you, never got anything set up in advance.  I eventually ended up finding a couple guys by putting a post on bowsites WI forum and asking for suggestions.  The ones that I came up with weren't what I was looking for.  The main way they ran cats was to set up on road crossings ahead of the chase with a shotgun.  They said bobcats don't hold well in a tree and would be real tough with a bow.  I ended up eating the tag.
Good luck, I hope you find someone!

Thanks Joe.

I have a possibility going, but a family health issue may quash any of it.  We shall see.  Won't be the first tag I ate !

Charlie, I ran plum out of time and never went.

I was set to run up to some up-nort hunting areas I know which house a lot of national forest and do some serious calling for a few days (and couple it with snowshoe bunny hunting), and we had some family health issues that took the air out of my sails.

I guess I start saving preference points again.

Thanks for asking.

Chuck,

I'm Sorry to hear of your troubles.

It seems like bobcat numbers are doing well most places I go.  Perhaps by the time you draw again, you will have a lot of cats to pick from
