Fred G the ground stalker!
« on: December 08, 2013, 09:26:00 PM »
I just bought the book from 3R and it inspires me to hunt the ground. Reading the thread from Smoke this year also pushed me to it. I am going to try it and also use the climber on occasion. Cant wait!

Give it a chance, I think you will really like it.  First off, it is WAY easier for the set up.  I don't have to carry a stand or climb a tree etc etc etc.

I myself like to specialize in places where you can't put a tree stand up anyway.

Many other reasons why, but lastly, as I age here,  if I ever fall off my chair taking a nap, it isn't too far to the ground.

I am with Chuck on the aging part. I like hunting on the ground in many cases way better than a tree. It is more exciting and a higher awareness of the whole situation. Let us know how it works.
