Whip, is this for those who want to learn to make selfbows or are shooters only welcome?

This is for making selfbows, learning, teaching, or like Jon: standing around and talking about them. It is a great time. I missed it last year but am planning on going this year.

I have been wanting to attend one of these since the first one and stuff ALWAYS gets in the way.  I am sure hoping this is my year to attend.

Sounds like a lot of fun.

I just cut my supply of Osage for the jamboree in May. I fought some Osage not even a 1/4 mile from my house. It's a pretty rare find in this area of WI.

I got what they consider a good eater down there. About 80#. I'm going to learn about smoking. Boy, they sure squeal when you hit them. I can see why bowhunters like to hunt them.

I am getting ready for Bowjam. I think my turkey will end up in a dutch oven for the pot luck Sat. That just has to be good. I am not sure about Friday supper yet, FL pig in the dutch oven, maybe venison tenderloins. Anyone interested in joining me Friday? Also if anyone from my corner of the state wants to ride along I a have plenty room.

Greg,

If the Mrs. wasn't working this weekend, I'd be taking you up on that offer.  Have a great time.

Pictures from Bowjam 2012. I bailed before the rain on Saturday but had a great time and learned a whole lot just from watching. Looking forward to experiencing the journey that so many of you have already undertaken in creating a selfbow. Thanks to all especially Howard and Nancy Edwards who held the event.
