bunnies?
« on: February 06, 2011, 08:28:00 PM »
Thursday morning found me at the dentists, after a few folks all had their fingers in my mouth and they gave me a couple scripts for the pain they caused,I left thinking as I'll be still here in MD I'll give the bunnies a try if I could still get in. Just before I punched in Billy-Bob Nash's number  call from SC came in. It was a neighbor of mine that keeps an eye pealed around the house so I let him fish in the ponds. He tells me about the water coming from under the well house and he can't get in to shut off the water. Thats about 1530. I go home, get things together, and leave for Leesville. At 0530 I get into the house, shut down the water pump, and get into bed for a couple hours. After 2 days of finding the problems, getting parts I needed ( closest Lowes is 20 miles), and replacing piping, filter, and expansion tank, I took a needed shower. Least its not as cold here as up there. So after all that rambling, how did the hunt go? I see no news as yet.

I for one had a great time! Sorry you couldnt make it. Tony Goncalves kindly gave me a ride with him. I got to meet Bob and Merle Brilhart, Dan and Dianne Mathis, Eric Franques, Larry Schwartz, Jeremy, and many more whom i sadly cannot remember the names of   :(

Everybody was really helpful and the food was delicious.

The bunnies however proved to be more elusive than expected.

Had a great time though

Shan,
I'm glad you got to get down to see the stumping grounds on the rabbit hunt..I had to back out due to a problem I was having in my back ...My buddy Bruce and Rick made it a little late but I asked him if he remembered seeing you but he couldn't remember...He would of been the heckler and kind of short with a  pitbull looking face....Easy not to remember him...   :scared:

Keefer I hope that back heals up so you can come out and shoot next time! And you're right i dont remember seeing any pit bulls buut there were quite a few beagles!
And to quit hopping around your question Mr.Specht (especially seeing as how we are now facebook official) I am ashamed to say we got no rabbits but had plenty of shots.

Shan you have nothing to be ashamed off, I on the other hand apparently had confused this hunt with the bunny preservation club.

I even made my 3yo cry when I didn't show with his bunny...   :(

The quest to improve is so focused on a few design aspects & compensating for hunter ineptness as to actually have reduced a bow & arrow’s effectiveness. Nothing better demonstrates this than mech. BHs & speed fixated designs
