Game animal would be a turkey, without the use of a blind. Hardest animal I think would be a crow.

My vote would be a mature mule deer buck.  Maybe it is just me, but I have never been able to close the deal an a really big mule deer (I have had more opportunities than I care to recall).  The yonug ones are not that tough, but when they make it through a few seasons, they seem to get twice as samrt as anything else I have hunted.

O.k. boys,(and Gals)

Do you really want to know what the hardest animal to hit with a bow? Well it ain't a whitetail, turkey or a grouse. It's the ever elusive Chipmunk or as I like to call them "THOSE DIRTY LITTLE DIGGIN' RAT B****** SUNS-A-B****S" ManI really hate those things, always diggin' holes all around the house, and always being such a big pain in my A$$. I've been shooting at them for over 6 years and have only killed a handfull of them with my longbow. So know I switched gears a bit on how to take care of them, I now use my "Stainless Steel Longbow" made by Ruger and chamberd for 44Mag. now that gets'em real good. Now I have a bunch more holes in my yard but no chipmunks.

I've never even reached full draw on a turkey.  Maybe I should use a blind.

Well I had to think about this for a day or two.I guess Brown bear in the thick stuff gets my vote.It may not be the hardest to locate but getting under 20 yards  and remaining calm enough to do exactly whats required is not easy!

Thats what I like about traditional hunting,Under the right circumstances any animal can be the tuffest. There is no score except by the score keeper on site. The hunter and the animal, seems the animal usualy walks off with his.  :banghead:

I THINK  COYOTES ARE ONE OF THE HARDEST ANIMALS TO HUNT WITH ARCHERY GEAR PERIOD!
Hunt for you! Dont worry what others will say,if your happy with what you shoot who really cares what anyone else thinks. You will be happier in the long run and hunting will remain the fun way to get meat for your entire life.Enjoy the journey

The trick for the bumblebee is not to hit a fly. Hit a fly and you lose your turn.  Mike

The toughest I have ever witnessed is a Grouse.  I watched a young man shoot one at 15 yards in the head.  An explosion of Feathers erupted, the grouse hit the ground hard, and then proceeded to get up, shake it off and fly away.  He was shooting a 50# BBB bow and 540 grain Chundo arrows.  The arrow was tipped with a 357 casing covered in a hmtl rubber blunt.  If I had not seen it, I would not have believed it.  Those critters are just TOUGH!!!!!!!!!!

I never killed a bumblebee, but I did kill a wasp at 8 yards once.  I got a complete pass through BTW.  I also shot the head off a Hen Decoy at 14 yards, but that is another story!!!!!  Those dekes are mighty tough.
