You guys have some terrific looking deer camps.  I love the pictures of the old cabins and canvas tents with smoke rolling out of the chimneys and smoke stacks.  I can only imagine the stories that have been told and passed along in the wee hours of the morning staring in the coals of a dying fire...It sure is sad to see these camps disappearing.  So how do you guys weasel your way into one of these huntin' camps?  :bigsmyl:

Matt, you're right, they are getting harder to find. We bought a camp in NW PA's "cabin country" 2 years ago after a 4 year search. The days when you could just throw together a cabin on a few acres of land are over due, in part, to tighter controls over sewage requirements.

Here's mine-built it myself. It's a 1-room,20'x20',no utilities, heated by a woodstove and lit up by Coleman lanterns.I took the stove, fridge, and cabinets out of the camper behind and put up an outhouse. It's sitting on 10.5 acres in the middle of 680acres of hardwoods and ridge country in Somerset county,PA.Ain't much, but it's warm, dry, and the hunting is real good.
