Title: Ground Blind
Post by: Two Beards on September 28, 2018, 08:07:59 AM
It has been a number of years since I last purchased a ground blind and it is now time to replace my old one. Is there a favored commercially made blind for a recurve shooter? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I bought a Xenek this year and it is without a doubt the best blind I have ever seen. It is the most thought out blind there is. I can shoot my 62" longbow out of mine and a friend that told me about them shoots a long recurve out of his. They ain't cheap but worth the price. Check out their website, there are videos on it that shows how to put them up and take them down. They are taller than they are wide so shooting longer bows is not a problem. Also the windows are lower which is good.

Thanks for your recommendation. This looks like a really nice blind and one worth purchasing.

I have also been thinking about finding a taller ground blind for my 65” Longbow and 6’4 frame to fit into. I will have to look into this one!

Are they roomy enough to handle a 68" longbow?

The XENEK Apex looks like a really nice blind. Do you know if it has the feature to allow "brushing in". I will often add branches, grass, etc. to help the blind blend in. Can't tell if the Xenek has a way to do this.

I am not positive about the "brushing in" feature. Right now I am laid up with a cold and the weather is not good to set up my blind. I would say email them and ask, they are great people to deal with.

I just saw where Xenek is having a 20% off sale. That will amount to $80.00 off on a blind. When I bought mine it was during one of these sales.

I have the Ox5 blind. I can shoot my 62&68” longbows inside it. They are huge.
