Where are all of the Illinois and Missouri archers?? Sound off, where are you??
-
Hey there! I'm in Wayne county, IL. There are very few traditional archers here. I just started into this about a year ago.
-
Nice to see you on here. What bow are you using?
-
Highlander recurve. 50# @ 28" very nice shooter for a cheap bow. My local bow shop doesn't deal much with traditional.
-
What are you shooting?
-
Bear Montana longbow. #45
Bear Supermag. #45
Was looking at getting a Black Widow, but will have to wait.
Do you have a shop near you or one that you go to?
-
Yep I have a shop about 3 miles away. Neat little shop and super helpful just doesn't deal much traditional
-
How do you like your bear Montana?
-
Love it. Smooth, quiet, easy to shoot.

I am in deep Southernmost IL. (thats south of Rt 13) in Johnson Co. I suspect you could find a pretty good number of trad folks at Town Hall Archery in Bellville. At least there was at one time. I have been at this for about 50 years.

That's about 2 hours away. It would be closer for me to find somewhere closer to Evansville Indiana. I'm closer to there. Not alot of options though. I'm in Wayne county

I am not sure I understand your reply to my post..... I was replying to Rhodi53 about where anyone is located....
Did you need something ?
-
Sorry my bad. I thought that was a comment from Rhodi. But I will ask if it's ok, do you have a club you shoot at down there? Looking for some places to shoot with some like minded folks
-
Sorry, there is no longer any active club down in the South counties other then the one that meets over in Pinckneyville at the Pyramid state grounds. They are mostly trad folks though. I have not been there but talked to a friend who told me about it. You might try giving them a call 618-357-2574. There is an archery range there.
