Title: Carp?
Post by: Gun on May 09, 2016, 11:51:00 PM
Any of you southern Alberta guys know where the carp are down there I've been hearing about?
Maybe we could do a group shoot?

GUn, there's a big shoot in Montana Google carp safari.  Deifenbaker has some I've heard but I haven't heard of shoot able quantities in Alberta yet. The way they seem to be reported all over the place thigh it's just a matter of time before the reservoirs are full of them.

Thanks Tracy, I've heard of that one. Just thinking to get out from shore to whack some.
Guess we'll have to wait a few years.

It's worth getting a few guys together for the carp safari. One year tucker, Mark and I went and did it.  We had fun.

Apparently Weed Lake by Langdon is full of the little Prussian Carp.  I have been debating about getting a bowfishing rig and trying out there to learn the ropes.
